KCPR Radio needs your help. The scene of music is changing: more alternative bands are quickly gaining acceptance, new bands are easily mastering full albums every day, and all of this music is coming to the on-campus radio station, KCPR, and needs to be played!

At KCPR all music is picked by people just like you: all DJ's are students
(from Cal Poly and Cuesta) or members of the community. All the talking on air, answering of phones, and club business is completely and voluntarily student run 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Be the musical guide.

The time commitment is a minimum of three hours a week -- one for the class where you'll learn KCPR's philosophy of music as well as FCC regulations, two for on-air training with a current DJ. By the end of the quarter, you'll be programming at least an hour of music by yourself, and if you make it through you'll have your own weekly show the very next quarter. Your first show will be a three hour graveyard between 1am and 7am. All DJ's must complete a graveyard shift before moving on to a daytime show.

You must have a fine taste for new things and love all kinds of music
!

If you're interested in joining, come to the new DJ meeting during the second week of the quarter. Drop by the station at the beginning of the quarter to find out the exact date and time.  We are located in the Graphic Arts Building, room
301.
